I can't even begin to express how i love to make tuna salad. I just thought to myself how about i share my great recipe with you guys!.
What you will need:
2 cans of tuna, drained from that gooey oil it comes with
2eggs
sweet cubes
mayonnaise
bread
black pepper
1 bowl for mixing
pot
opt: lettuce, grapes
Instructions: You will need to boil 2 eggs on the top part of the oven of course. Then you let that cook for about 15-20 mins or until the water has evaporated. Then once you let that cook, rinse the cooked eggs in some cold water and crack them. Then cut up the eggs into small pieces. Then open up the two cans of tuna and drain the oil as well. After you have done that, then you will need to put the remains into a fresh bowl. Then add the eggs, mayonnaise, sweetcubes, and black pepper. You can add lettuce to the sandwich if you wish, I don't usually add lettuce to mine. Then enjoy some grapes with your tuna salad sandwich and maybe some chips or just grapes and a tuna salad with a nice glass of cold water. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as i do.

Last Day of Education 201 class
I finally made it through this delightful journey!!!!. I am delighted that i had a chance to experience a class that gave me the experience i needed to decide what grade i would like to teach. I love all children, but i think Middle School is just for me. They are a little bit mature than the elementary children and i just tend to love that age group. It reminds me of my journey through the middle school at that age. I have enjoyed learning about what technology i can teach to a class whether it's an iPad , smartboard , camera projector, or ipod . This way is very different from my days in school. I'm used to the chalkboard, dry erase board, movie projectors, computers, and overhead projectors. That is all we had in my day. Learning how to teach with certain technology was wonderful not that much of a challenge. Well maybe at first it was, but i got the hang of it. The iPad is very much like a iPhone but a little different. Anyways teachers can use iPads to give students assignments such as, reading books or textbooks, researching topics on the internet, they can take notes on the ipad, and they can install homework/classwork assignments. They have all subject applications for students to complete throughout the semester/year. The smartboard can be used for presentations and other assignment any teachers choose to have as an assignment. The camera projector is used to put notes or anything they need for students to see on a board. The ipod can download any educational audio track for the student to learn from. The technology is not the only thing i learned from this class. I also learned what you should or should not do as a teacher. As a teacher what you should do is try to learn each student's name, needs, know their parents, know the children's learning styles, and anything that can hinder them from learning (autistic, special attention/self-contained, ADHD). The things that a teacher should never do is reveal any personal information about a student outside of a school. I don't really think it would be professional to really say anything about a child to someone who works in the school. Sometimes it can help if another teacher has that same student you did. You could help that next teacher to understand that student. Some of the other things you should never do is reveal any personal information about yourself and be careful what you say to people at your job. Your word can go against yourself and get you in trouble in the long run. What i mean is...say u want to quit and you tell people. Well that same person you told can go tell your boss what you said and get you in trouble. This is why it is essential to keep certain information to yourself. That is the professional way. If there are any further questions or details that anyone would like to share with me let me know. Leave a post and i will be sure to get back to you. This is my last time talking about this experience. This will be my personal blogspot after may 5, 2011 the day i graduate.

Last Day at Elementary School
My second week at Elementary School. Again I am waiting on the students to enter in the classroom. This time there wasn't a Ipad for me to explore with. I had such a blast last time i was on the Ipad and it is so much fun. Anyways, today i had to wait about an hour and a half before the children came into the classroom. At one time I thought Ms. C had forgot i was in there. It seemed like forever, but eventually they all came into the classroom. I was greeted by one of the students I helped the last time her name was miss A.I love little children, but i think I will be teaching Middle School. I was greeted with a hug. I tell you elementary students are so sweet and thoughtful. Today the children worked on book reports, some backdrop for the cafeteria murals, and a quiz. Today i helped the student miss A because she struggles with math. She reminds me when i was this age because like her i struggled with the same math. She was struggling with long division which i found challenging in fourth grade. Some multiplication facts that was set up with 2 extra or 3 extra numbers didn't settle well with me. They were problems like: 34X56 or 500X36. With the long division problems were like: 6/360 which is 60?. I could relate to what this little girl was going through it seemed so challenging back then, but really easy for me now. I would have to say that all the kids in the classroom seemed to all like me. I had so many coming up to greet me and talk to me. I like friendliness, all you have to do is smile and be nice to children and they will like you. I told the children that today was my last day at the elementary school. One of the students was like you were only here for 2 days i was like I'm sorry but my observation was only for 10 hours in all. Too bad we didn't have more hours. This experience has been great. I learned a lot with the younger children as well. I was glad to walk around the classroom and see what students needed help. I helped out with any quiz questions they wanted help with. I gave hints to them on the quiz of course. I also helped some children out with their spelling to help them for their next test. I, myself was always good in spelling and many don't know that i was in a spelling bee in 6th grade. The only thing was i didn't get far because i couldn't spell business. I hated that i didn't win, but oh well that's life. You win some, you lose some. Before the children went to lunch today i helped about 3 kids on their book reports for class which was fun. Then we went to lunch and then recess. I finally left after they came back in for recess. I told everyone good-bye for the last time.

My first day at Elementary School
When I first entered the fourth grade classroom the students were not in the classroom, so i had the liberty to use a IPAD, Ms. C handed to me. The students came about fifteen minutes after I arrived. I also found out that on Fridays they have test days. There were two or a few that were curious about who I was. One student even offered me apples, how sweet is that? So sweet. I politely said "No Thank You." The kids for most of the time in class worked on tests. The teacher warned me at the beginning of class that they would taking tests and that it would be boring. Most students or alot of students do their tests on Ipads, so much different from my years being in school. In my days we had a board/overhead projector to look at notes and the textbooks and paper assignments for homework or classwork. I can understand why they switched to Ipads it's just easier that way. I pads have so much offer it's great. They have textbook apps, tests, homework assignments internet access, organizer, classwork assignments, e-reader and many other programs installed on them. It does not have everything on there though some applications you have to install yourself. Some programs you have to install includes textbook applications, and homework assignments, and you must pay for internet access. You can also block any unnecessary content throughout the internet on the Ipad as well. Just like any regular computer you still have that advantage.
I then had an advantage to help a student with her fractions in Math. I can understand why anyone would have trouble with fractions especially at this age. Did I mention that she did her fractions through a computer program from her Ipad? Ms. C's class does most of her work on Ipads. After i helped her with her fractions the class then went to lunch. What a relief because I was so hungry. When I finally got to the cafeteria I then remembered how elementary food can be so nasty, ugh!. Then it dawned on me that i didn't bring my lunch and to my disadvantage i had to eat their food. After i got my food and took a bite i realize why some teachers take their lunch. I had the dried up pepperoni and cheese pizza, withe the not-finished-baked fries, peaches, and sweet tea. I really enjoyed the peaches and sweet tea, however; the food in general was just not the best. After i got my food I went to the teacher's classroom. That is where all the other students returned to eat at. Then the class had recess. This took me back to the many times i would enjoy myself with my friends at recess time. I never had any idea that it was only a 30 minute recess it always felt like it was one hour long, but nevertheless it was my favorite time of the day. I will always treasure and cherish those times at the playground. I enjoyed how some of the teachers on April fool's day April 1, 2011 played jokes on the students. Poor students i said to myself. Then it took me back to a time when i played a prank on someone at my church. April Fool's Day can really be a fun day. Anyways I forgot how cold it was going to be that day. I literally froze my behind off it seemed like 30 minutes for me was just too long to be out there on a cold day. I had on stockings, a cardigan, and a sweater on underneath and i still froze outside. We stayed outside for about 35 minutes and retreated back inside. It was about 10 or 15 minutes that we stayed in there. Then they had some Awards program they went to at 1:15 pm. That is when i said good-bye to them for the day.

Education 201
I am observing a Elementary School this time to get more experience. It's good to get experience in all age group whether it's elementary, middle, or high school. I don't think i need experience to know what highschool was like i can remember how those kids were, including myself. My memory of highschool was like i went there yesterday. I can remember everything about highschool; it was not a time of enjoyment for me. I was picked on just about everyday, i almost got in some fights, and it's not a moment to relive. I'm not sure if i would want to teach highschool it can be a tough bunch. Everybody in highschool thinks that they are grown and it's just more attitude to put up with.
I'm so excited to be visiting the Elementary School, this is the age group i always dreamed of teaching. I've had my mind set on teaching since i was in the fourth grade; i know a long time. I will keep you guys posted on my observations of the new school i will be observing. After i am done with all my observations i will let you know whether i want to teach Middle or Elementary School.

Last Day of Observation at Middle School
Believe or not my last day was March 4, 2011 at the Middle School. I will miss coming to this school just to gain experience as a future teacher. I am glad that i was able to help out some of the students with the assignments assigned in the class. This has been my long life dream to become a teacher and visiting this school makes me realize i am fit for being a teacher. The first class i went to was a 7th grade Social Studies class, this is my favorite class. I wish i was an itern for them, but i have a long way to go before that happens. The children in the class were reviewing for a test on World War II aka: Cold War and that lesson consisted of, so may things they needed to know. It included Stalin, the atomic bomb, Manhattan Project, the british, Truman, the U.S., NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization), USSR, Woodrow Wilson,Theodore Roosevelt, The Truman Doctrine, and Japan. The teacher uses the smartboard to display the review notes and the video they watch is A League of their Own. The following is the link to the video called, A League of their Own:
I have enjoyed this Social Studies class because i was able to help students in this classroom with their assignments. The teacher even gave me some compliments she was like you are great with kids and all the kids like me. She says i am willing to sit down with a student and help them which means alot. Her classroom contains kids that are gifted, slow learners, certain disorders, and certain disabilities. I learned on how to deal with students who are all on different levels in that class which is a good quality to have as a teacher. The teacher also tells me that to be a teacher, the school depends on how the children receive you, or responds to you. This can qualify whether you get the position there as well as working as an intern at the school for 3 weeks. If you do a good job working, as an intern at this school, for three weeks you could get a job. This is what i was told during our one on one chats during lunch break.
The next class i went to was a Science Class, for eighth graders called Earth Science. The very subject i hated when i was an eighth grader, but now it's interesting to me as an adult. As i was there they focused on Electrospectrum, this was a nice topic, for the children to learn. They all did an activity which required them using x-ray glasses, a handout, and a presentation on the smartboard. He had pictures of a triangle and a circle and they used the colors red and blue to look at the triangles. Whenever they looked at the blue triangle, with blue light, the triangle disappeared. When they used the red light, to look at the blue triangle, it turned a dark black or grey. When they used the red light to look at a red circle it disappeared, and when they used the blue x ray lens , to look at the red circle, it was a dark black or grey. Then he taught some more on this lesson and he basically stated why the color disappears when you look through the same color. For example a red apple is going to reflect the color red back because it's red, or only red ights can be seen by the colored rays and that is the reason why red is reflected. He also taught that the white light will reflect all of the colors: ROYGBIV. R stands for red, O stands for Orange, Y stands for Yellow, G stands Green, B stands for Blue, I stands for Indigo, and V stands for Violet. I have to say that this class wasn't bad after all for an eighth grade class. I learned that also every class is different, so that is one of things i learned to except. Here is the video clip for learning ROYGBIV that i happen to find:
I will have to say that i very much enjoyed this fun little lesson that was done in this class. The next class i went was a another Social Studies Class. They were being introduced to Rome for the first time the teacher gave them bell work to do when they first came to class. After they finished that she lectured about how Rome came about. She talked about how Romulus and Remus was born from two roman gods. Their mother was Rhea and their father named Mars. Rhea couldn't take care of her twin boys, so she sent them down by the Tiber River. The She-wolf found them and took care of them until they grew older. One day they couldn't decide on how would be king and they fought over that. Romulus ended up killing Remus and that is that is how the city of Rome was named by Romulus. Here is the video clip they watched in class of Romulus and Remus: This video was acted out by 7th graders from a second period class of Ms. Fuhrer's. This video tells the legend of romulus and remus.
The next class i went to was the Special Education class, and they basically were just looking at educational videos. A couple of the videos were on multiplication tables( 5, 6, and 8's), and then one of them was a fraction video. The links to the videos are:
My overall experience with observing the middle school was beneficial, i learned alot, and i feel like middle school is definitely the place, for me to become a teacher. I'm so glad i had this opportunity to learn as much as i can with becoming a teacher in the future.

My Third Time at Middle School
Today i was at the middle school again for the third time. Today i decided to go to the History class first during a teacher's block i had already visited. I will have to say that the sixth graders were a lot better compared to the last block class that teacher has, but nevertheless they are still the same. They are friendly, curious, and cute little human beings. Today they learned about the Macedonians, Alexander the Great, and the Greeks. I was shocked at the fact that the teacher used the smartboard in the class for the first time. They did their bell work assignment on the smartboard and watched a video on Alexander the Great from discovery education online website. The children were still rambunctious though but not as bad. After i was done visiting this class i went to the 8th grade class.
The eighth graders seemed to have improved maybe a little. I think it was due to the fact that they give out alot of lunch detentions and write-ups. The discipline at this school is starting to improve it started off rough, but it's getting better. When i came into the classroom they were learning about the quadratic function in Algebra I. I would have to say that the teacher is something else. She found a video on youtube called the quadratic formula song it's actually pop the weasel. It' so funny because the student's reactions weren't so pleasing because she wanted the class to know the song. She told them if they sung the song that they would get a homework pass. Only a couple of students attempted to do just that in the class the rest thought it was a stupid idea. The video for this funny quadratic song is http://www.youtube.com/.
I would have to also say that these children could use some guidance on how to act
when they get in highschool. If they don't learn the right way now they won't be prepared for the transition.
The last class i visited was the special education class. They were watching a video about Cricket Farm. It was somewhat interesting an gross at the same time. It is basically a video about collecting crickets, hatching and growing cricket eggs, and feeding the crickets. When the baby crickets hatch they look like tiny little ants running all over the place. There were so many of them like a thousand. They also show a room where they hatch the eggs they place them in a room and keep the temperature on 93degrees farenheit. That is how the crickets hatch at the farm compared to it happening naturally. They also created a special food for these insects they call it "Cricket Poo." Here is the video, so you can see for yourself. The video:

My first week at the school i visited
I woke up early that morning excited about going to a middle school. This was my first orientation and first time back at a middle school since...well 10 years. The orientation was about getting to know about the school itself. Me and my classmates had a tour and a talk about the do's and don'ts in the school. The talk was basically about not revealing any names of the school, teachers, or students name. My instructor also added some input and told us not to hug any of the students. We were also told to do timesheets, a blog (including this one), field notes, and nametags (I.D. Badges), and background information check (of course). Our teacher also told the principal and asst.principal that we can be assigned work from teachers. None of the teachers i visited have requested me to do work yet (lucky me!).
The second day i went which was the day i observed i mainly took notes. This was very boring for both of the two classes i observed. I went to a Algebra I class first that was filled with eighth graders. As i walked in they all looked very curious, but that was about it. None of the students came up to me to introduce themselves. The only person that was generous enough was the teacher so very sweet. Some students managed to smile and some just stared. Not the response i was really looking for from eighth graders. I could've introduced myself, but the teacher mentioned nothing of that to me. I was waiting but nothing she just went right in to teaching the class. She used the smartboard for instructing her math lessons. They did most of their math exercises on this smartboard they had. She had warm up exercises for them to start on in the beginning of the class. When they finished she had the notes for the rest of the class period. I was there for about 90 minutes in the class observing the teacher and the students. I watched as some were talking, cutting up, gossiping, passing notes or just flat out not paying attention. She must've called on about two or three students in the class because of this behavior. I heard a few warnings like this is the last time i am going to say it or sweetheart you need to pay attention. Even the ones she called on more than once, she never mentioned anything about a write-up.
The second class i went to was very rambunctious than the eighth graders. I visited the sixth graders just to see what they were like. I loved the attention i received from the sixth graders they are so sweet. As soon as they saw me they asked who i was and introduced themselves to me. They were very friendly and inviting. I decided that i was going to introduce myself to them and tell them why i was there. I felt very welcomed to the classroom which is a good way to feel in a school. When i sat down that is when they went back to doing what they would normally do. They did a warm-up exercise and then the teacher mentioned a movie they could watch in class. As i observed some i noticed one girl was hyper, she couldn't stay still for nothing. Then i noticed another girl upset because someone kept spreading a rumor about her. I also noticed a greater deal of talking among the sixth graders. Then i noticed this boy and girl getting into an argument about something. Alot of discipline problems is what i noticed or disciplining the children at school period. Disciplining is a must in a school classroom to keep things running smoothly. I would have to say that this district does not have enough of it. Other than that i enjoyed the sixth graders.

2nd Week of Observation at a Middle School
Today i visited the middle school and the 7th graders are so sweet. I would love to teach them one day im so ready for that day. I was able to not only observe, but help the students with their work if needed which made me feel great. I know that i was born to do just that and im loving it. There are a few children that are self-contained or are in need of special assistance. I'm already familiar with that area because i learned to deal and work with them when i was a senior in highschool. The 7th graders are so friendly, welcoming, and warming. They were anxious to see who i was and asked questions and introduced themselves to me. I was so delighted that they were interested in knowing me as well as me introducing myself to them. The class i visited was Social Studies or History the subject they studied today was World War II.
The second class i visited today is called Algebra I, the 8th graders. I will have to say that they are very rambunctious. They talked while teacher was teaching, passed notes, laughing, and just not paying attention. I noticed that most kept looking at me for some excuse for being distracted. They are also not friendly at all like the 6th and 7th graders and elementary students. They are at the age where they are forming or already have attitudes. Some of the students act like they have no discipline whatsoever they are the worse students. I have never observed a class where they had so much going on and the class seemed out of control. I would hate to be that teacher teaching the eighth graders i feel sorry for the teachers/parents. I noticed that most teachers seemed to use smartboards as presentations for their subjects in class for that day. I will have to say that 6th and 7th graders are the only ones i see myself teaching.

Welcome
Welcome to my page everyone i am officially a blogger (lol). This is a site for professional work that i do at my old technical school the one in which i took a education technology class. This class is about being technology abled when you become a teacher. We learn how to do blogs, virtual museums, electronic portfolio, jeopardy powerpt. presentations, windows movie media maker, and we work on smartboards. We also get a chance to visit middle and elementary schools to get some experience and not only that, but observe the technology they use in schools today.
