Major Change from Middle Grades to Elementary Education

There's nothing like experimenting with majors while in college. I decided long ago when I was a little girl that I was going to be a teacher preferably an elementary school teacher. Well, as I grew older especially during some of my first college years I changed my mind from being an elementary school teacher to being a middle grades teacher. I changed my mind at this point because I thought I was more fit for middle grades education and working with middle schoolers, but as I looked at my degree list I noticed how much longer it would take to graduate. I looked at my degree as double majoring. I had a concentration in Math and History my first semester as a student at my college and then I changed it because I was okay in math,but I wasn't great in math. And, my second semeester I changed my concentration to English and History, but then I realized I wasn't that great in English either. History, was the only subject that I was really great and more knowledgeable with. Don't get me wrong though, I'm great in math too, but just not as great as others. Let's face it Math can be very challenging. Which brings me to science, science is not a subject I am great in either. So, history isn't  bad either ,but I decided not to major in History because then I would have to major in Secondary Education, and I remember what highschool was like for me. I didn't want to have to relive those experiences again. I also knew I couldn't do anything past post-secondary especially if I don't think I can handle highschoolers. So, I knew that I was great with little kids, and that all little kids seem to take a liking to me one way or the other, and I decided that elementary education suited me. This is the degree that I am seeking now and hopefully will have in the future. Although, I do still feel like I could do something with a history degree on the side as I get older of course. If this is what I want to do after teaching elementary education for a number of years (like 20 or 30) ,then this will be the next thing I do. As for now, elementary education is the way to go for me. I made some critical thinking decisions based on my choices that led me down back to the dream I always had as a little girl and that is teaching elementary school students. What about you guys? My favorite youtube video. I love these guys. They are funny, entertaining, and really sweet. Their names are Brittany and Nick and yes they are married. They are also an interracial couple which makes them even more interesting. I know how some people feel about interracial couples especially in the south, but that was years ago when slavery and prejudice took over. This is a new time era, and I think people need to see it as nothing other than two people together. Regardless, of the skin color these people are in love. I wish people would stop hating on these people, and just look at the situation from my point of view. I was never raised to be prejudice...this was something I was never taught. It just makes me sad that other people want to hate and make people feel miserable because they are not happy. I guess the old saying is "Misery loves Company," I'm not saying these people are miserable, but I'm talking about the haters. The haters must be miserable if they have to find time to make mean and hateful comments. People need to love people regardless, of what their skin color is. This is something everyone needs to think about especially in the South. God does not pick and choose what people he is going to love based on skin color, sexuality, circumstances, appearances, etc. and we should love people beyond their skin color. Skin color should not be an issue-MLK, Jr. stated this in his famous speech, "I Have a Dream." Let's stand together  against  this issue of prejudice. Love all people like Christ would.

MLK, Jr. and others fought for our rights and we have them now, but prejudice still reigns today in our society and if we all stand against it, we can finish MLK, Jr dreams.

I Choose to Worship- Wess Morgan

I love Wess Morgan's song especially this song it's just something about it. I get an overflowing feeling of joy, happiness, peace, and I feel the spirit of God throughout this song. It's a true testimony of his life before he chose to give his life to Christ and where he's come from as far as his relationship with God. He's been through many things in life; he's been through things I wouldn't even imagine putting myself through.
          He grew up in the church, but like most or some people, they tend to want to do things to please themselves instead of pleasing God. In a interview with Wess Morgan on youtube he shared that he tried cocaine, he was sent to jail and it was through jail that he seeked God. When he came out of jail, he wrote this song, "I Choose to Worship," and this song resembles what he had to go through to get to God. So, listen to this song and praise the Lord. I know I will be doing just that. Enjoy!

I don't know about you guys, but I love Brandon Heath. He is a awesome contemporary christian Gospel singer. You should look him up on youtube, buy his albums on Amazon.com and more importantly let his songs be a witness of what God has done for him in his life.

I know this is old, but I had to post because I love Mariah Carey. She is my number one singer at the top of my list. She's so talented, who could hate her? she's so nice and she has a nice personality. Love her well, watch the video and enjoy.

Summer Lunch OOTD - Featuring Casting Fashions, Helen Ficalora & JustFab

The perfect outfit for the summer. This is Juicystar07 or otherjuicystar007. She is also known as  Blair Fowler and I just love her channel on youtube. I've watched her channels since the end of 2010 or maybe in the middle of 2010. She shares all kinds of topics on both channels. She posts videos of make-up tutorials, fashions tips and advice, and so much more. She and her sister, Elle Fowler also known as AllthatGlitters21 both have a business called Glitzy-Glam.
             Glitzy Glam is an online shopping site and the site for that is : http://www.glitzy-glam.com/ . They sell all kinds of merchandise on the website. I've bought a wallet, a tea or cup holder thing, keychain, and was given free items from them once. This is a great online store and I reccommend this shopping online website.
     Another thing her and her sister are doing is hosting a show called, "Beauty Vlogger Bootcamp," and this show has been fabulous. They are now on episode eleven, but you can go back up to the first episode.
     Recently,Elle and Blair announced that they will be getting their own make-up line. Their make-up line is called, Skylar, and yes they do have a website for that as well. Check out their make-up line: http://www.skylar.com/ .
     I must say these girls constantly stay busy. Blair announced also on her channel that they have been working another project. They are working on their first book too. I would tell you the name of the title, but I am not sure exactly what it's called. You can always check out either one of their channels.

Jessica Reedy - Put It On the Altar

I love this girl literally, she has style, she's and that voice is one of a kind. I love this song, "Put it on the Altar," because the message is if you have any kind of problem hand it over and leave it there on the altar. Once you let it go, you let God handle the rest. I can say that I have tested this theory and it works. If you leave it on the altar and give it to Jesus ...he will handle those burdens/issues. God will give you peace when he handles the burdens/problems that you have. So, the next time you have any issue give it to Jesus and leave it on the altar because it belongs there.
