Don't Judge A Book By It's Cover

Just thought I would do a post about people judging a book by it's cover. Why is that some people want to go by first impressions when they meet someone? I think this is so stupid. Well, it's like saying you don't like something before you try it. For example, say you like cookies and cream, but someone tries to convince you that another ice cream like butter pecan tastes good, but you deny it and say you won't try it? What you are doing is you are missing out. And this is what people do when they judge a book by it's cover. I mean anyone can judge a book by its cover; whether it's first dates, strangers, some people do this to family members, church members, etc. I firmly believe in getting to know someone instead of sticking to first impressions. Now, I have to admit that I have not always been like this because I used to stick firmly to first impressions and not talk to that person, but with time i've realized this attitude was not right. I say it's not right mostly because I'm a Christian and that's not the attitude Christ wants us to have and Christ does not certainly do this with us. He does not pick or choose who he is going to accept, he accepts that person no matter what. I think this is what everyone needs to realize and do it. It's not hard to do, just get to know that person and accept them for who they are because guess what? You can not change that person. That person has to change themselves if they have a quality or characteristic that you do not like. I'm just saying. Well, let me know if you would like me to add to this post.
