People Interpreting the Bible their Way, While Not Taking What The Bible Says
Now this topic I chose today is a soap box topic. My teacher in one of my classes at the university I attend said something sort of offensive today in class, but this is nothing new I heard. I've heard this statement over and over again from people that do not either understand the bible, misinterpret it, do not want to adhere to what the bible says, or just plain out do not care what the bible says. Well, I am sorry you can not change what the bible says. God's word is going to always stand no matter what man tries to change or misinterpret his word. You can not interpret the bible scriptures according to what you think they mean, you need to first read what the bible says directly. You do this by setting aside your assumptions, conclusions, opinions, and your disobedience because if you do not do this you will never understand what the bible says. You have to take the word exactly the way it appears for example, God talks about premarital sex (fornication), adultery, divorce, marriage, and so many other damnable things. I will use an example, I guy I know very well once told me it was ok to have sex before marriage and I was like Thou Shalt Not and I was like where did you hear this from? and where in the bible do you see that? I said this must be something you are saying because the bible does not say that. I rebuke that demon in the name of Jesus. The bible talks about fleeing from youthful lust, it does not say engage in sexual activity that would be fornication. Let me leave a link here for those that do not trust me: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2+Timothy+2%3A22&version=NASB. Please do not get mad at me this is strictly what the bible says. If you do not like it you do not have to continue to read this blog. I'm telling you what's coming from the bible, which is the word of God. I just want to mention that I am not here to judge anyone on my blog, but I am just stating what the bible says specifically about these sins. Matter fact this particular topic Premarital Sex is going to be a blog that I do next, so watch out for that blog. So, let me get back on this topic here. So, when my teacher said that today in class I was kind of shock in a way, but I guess some things should not surprise me anymore. I was just like this lady must not be very religious because if she was she would not have said that. Her thing was people can view scriptures however way they want and that's just not the case and I wanted to tell her that so bad, but that would've started a big debate and I am so glad I remained silent. That would not be the place to get into such a discussion and really this got started when a classmate of mines used a scripture that I guess she had something against, so..yeah just thought I would rant about this particular topic, because I feel like too many people do not understand God's word and they do not know how to take God's word for what it says. Do not take his word and interpret it to say something else, the bible says what it says do not change it. His word will never ever change, it is settled in heaven. Alright I'm done be blessed. I know some might get mad at this post I made, but if you do leave some comments below and I will be happy to answer all of them.
