Love Covers A Multitude of Sins

I absolutely love this scripture from I Peter 4:8: Love covers a multitude of sins. This scripture is so true and its just that great. The more you show love towards a person, regardless of  whether they have backslid or gone astray you should continue to show love. Why? God commands that we do this for each and every person. We should show love because God is love. He loves us unconditionally and he covers our sins by his love, and not only that if we confess and forsake our sins, he will not remember those sins we committed. As Christians, we are supposed to forget people's sins when they confess them openly in front of the church. But overall, if  you have  gone astray, you  must go the pastor to confess.  The other thing, I want to mention, is that it is not anyone's place to judge that person. Why? Because there is none righteous on earth, no, not one ~ Romans 3:10. The bible also says all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God ~Romans 3:23. And, I have to add this great lesson from the bible, there was a lady in the bible that  committed a great sin (adultery) ,and all the people wanted to stone her to death. When God came on the scene they told him about her and he responded with He that is without sin, cast the first stone. You can read about this story later to get more understanding and you can find it here: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=John%208:1-7&version=NIV
So, my overall point is, just because the person did not commit the sin you did, you have no right to judge that person or show less love. In addition, just because you did not sin like they did does not make you anymore righteous, because all have sinned and fall short to the glory of God.  We are supposed to be like God, and show love and compassion towards others. We should  not judge because that's not our job.  God is going to judge every person on judgement day and there is not one person that is not going to be judged. I will link about judgement day here: http://bible.cc/ecclesiastes/12-14.htm and http://bible.cc/matthew/12-36.htm
But as I was saying, Jesus is the perfect example of how to show love towards others, the bible has so many examples of God spreading his love and compassion, such as the story of David, Joseph, Abraham, Job, Samuel, Moses, Noah etc... You can read about these great stories in the bible, this is for those of you who may not be familiar with these stories.  We should continue to love each person, regardless of the sin they committed, and  we must continue to  love them unconditionally. If we have the spirit we should have love in us, but if we don't have love we do not have anything. I will link the cite that talks more about this focus on I Cor. 13:1-13 http://www.openbible.info/topics/lack_of_love
and one more thing do not throw the sin up in people's faces if they have gone astray from the christian walk. That destroys the person. The bible talks about taming that tongue and talks about gossiping as well. That will probably be a whole another blog that I do about those two topics.
To recaptiulate, I will leave some scriptures down here that refers to love.
Love the sinner, but hate the sin. (Jude 23).
Read I Cor. 13:4
Gal. 5: 22 (Love is one of the fruits of the spirit)  http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Galatians+5%3A22-23&version=NIV

Proverbs 17:9
Whoever would foster love covers an offense, but whoever repeats the matter separates close friends

James 5:20
Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way save them from death and cover a multitude of sins.
Proverbs 10:22
Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers all wrongs.

1 Peter 1:22
Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth, so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply from the heart.
And I forgot to link some information or scriptures taming the tongue and gossiping http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=James+3&version=NIV

and I will post a link for judging: http://www.openbible.info/topics/judging
And, overall remember do not judge. The bible says Judge not, and you will not be judged. But when you do judge, you will be judged in the same manner. (Matthew 7:1, Luke 6:37).
